The Day Started Early And Sad... Saying Good Bye To Dave
Dave's grand daughter came to get "Old Squeeky" this morning bright and early. We had it ready to go as we had taken it to the local 76 station and had it made "safe to drive". Dave loved that old tugboat and kept it in pretty good shape for many years.
By the time Dave's health got so poor, we was not starting it or driving it so we had major issues with the fluids and brakes. It was drivable but with additional strange sounds. We hope it has a good life in Arizona.
The Day Got Better When We Headed For Old Ranch
Today is also the birthday of James Cathey who is home cooking away for his family! Happy birthday big guy! We really missed him at breakfast and during the round of golf.... There is always next year.

THANKSGIVING
We are lucky since home is 2,675 yards from the first tee box... We fed the babies and headed back to Old Ranch for Thanksgiving Dinner.

The marshmallow probably first came into being as a medicinal substance, since the mucilaginous extracts comes from the root of the marshmallow plant, Althaea officinalis, which were used as a remedy for sore throats. Concoctions of other parts of the marshmallow plant had medical uses as well. The root has been used since Egyptian antiquity in a honey-sweetened confection useful in the treatment of sore throat. The later French version of the recipe, called pâte de guimauve (or "guimauve" for short), included an egg white meringue and was often flavored with rose water. Pâte de guimauve more closely resembles contemporary commercially available marshmallows, which no longer contain any marshmallow plant.

They had just finished dinner and everyone was in transit to the next location. We visited with Parker, Becca and Zack eventhough Zack was fighting a cold.
