The Big Rain
New Jersey was known to have rain in the summer months but in 1956 came
the BIG ONE. Sue remembers attempting to walk to the store and the
waters rose so fast that the local butcher had to save Sue and her mom from
the fast running currents. It rained so hard we had to put on our
bathing suits!
