Let The Celebration Of Our Independence Begin!

July 4th 2005

Off to our kids house for the annual 4th of July celebration. They live on the Los Alamitos Navy Golf Course which means a great view of the annual base activities.  On the third hole provides a view of nothing but golf course in the middle of town!

They are GREAT HOSTS as everybody had a ball! We eat, watch the neighborhood bike parade, see the activities from the base, and then fireworks sprinkled with a load of eating!

The base activities are presented in cooperation with the cities of Los Alamitos, Cypress and Seal Beach, the Rossmoor Community Services District and the Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Center .

The event is held on the grounds of the Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Center. The gates open at 5pm. Admission is free.

Come early and enjoy the military displays and pre-show entertainment . The fireworks show begins at dark. Come see some of the pictures! Just Visiting | The Parade | Fireworks

Let freedom never perish in your hands. ~Joseph Addison

You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness.
