Who Is Going This Year And What Are The Plans?
We have 17 couples heading over the bounding main this year on the Catalina Express and two more couples who are taking their own transportation but will join us at the hotel.
The four section below will provide you with the boat information, the hotel arrangements, and the dining for Friday and Saturday. Get ready to have fun!
Part One - Going Over/Coming Back ($65/pp Round Trip)
Due to my heart attack, I had to make two separate reservations for going and coming! All travel in "first class" in the Commodore Lounge"
We depart on Catalina Express at 10:15 AM from the Downtown Long Beach (NOT the Queen Mary) office at 320 Golden Shore, Long Beach, CA 90802. We need to be at the office by 9:30 or 12:30 to check-in.
Parking is available in a parking structure next door for $15/24 hour period. We have been upgraded to the Commodore Lounge meaning we get great seats upstairs and a drink for the ride over and back!

Part Two: Saturday Renewal Of Vows!
Donna Zaitz (Yes, our own Donna) is licensed to do weddings and since we are all in love, since we will be at the patio pre-dinner dressed in our finest tuxedos and gowns, she suggested we do a short Vows Renewal!
It looks like 24 of us will renew and we hope others join us and provide a few smiles, tak some pictures, and dirnk some chanpagne! Donna will fill you in on the deails in the next few weeks!
Part Three - Meals
It's fun to get together a couple of times as a group so we have made reservations at the two best places to done on the island!
Friday Night at 5:30: THE BLUEWATER GRILLE. It is across the street from the hotel. You may order what ever you want and they will bring you a separate bill.
Saturday Night at 4:30 (So we can have time to get the the ball): RISTORENTE VILLA PORTOFINO You may order what ever you want and they will bring you a separate bill.
NOTE! After the ball is over Saturday night, RISTORENTE VILLA PORTOFINO stays open just for us for a night cap, a little dessert and this year a little surprise!
Part Four: The Ball
We walk (or take a taxi)... It's about a mile... to the Ballroom. We already have tickets which you will get at dinner time. There are a set of "ramps" going to the ballroom level. There is also an freight elevator for those in need.
You will enter world's largest circular ballroom with a 180-foot (55 m) diameter dance floor, that can accommodate 3,000 dancers. You will see the clock turned back to the 1920's and 1930's with all the people dressed in clothes of the period!
After the ball is over, we return to the hotel and the RISTORENTE for a night cap!

We are staying at the Villa Portofino Inn located on the "main drag" at 111 Crescent Ave, Avalon, CA 90704 (310) 510-0555. The Catalina Taxi is available for those who may need a ride.
Golf?
We made tee-times for 11:08 and 11:17 and assume that the Henke's, Sue Liles, Zaitz, Hans and ???? will join us.... If someone else wants to play, let us know!
