Here Comes Santa Claus; Just Hours Away!
What a day this has been! We were all over the map starting at 9:00 AM with staple guns running then we walked Roger's Gardens again and then to a Tom & Jerry session at the Elks and finally a wonderful visit with Mr & Mrs Claus all dressed up as David and Dianne.
It was coming down in buckets early in the day!
Joe decided we needed the radiant barrier installed on Christmas Eve so he, Charlie, and Alex came visiting with staple gun in hand! In two hours we had the entire garage attic done and now know the secrets!
Charlie heads up into the cols attic.
Alex gets a lesson in measuring and marking!
Charlie provides adult supervisions
Watch those staples!
Working hard!
We walked around to make sure all was tied down.
They were all standing up when we departed!
We arrived right on schedule.
Bob and I visited the Choo Choo trains.
She will be comin' around the mountain when she comes!
Poor Santa, mauled by beautiful women!
The guys doesn't have a chance1
Masked by the masked!
Getting ready for the perfect picture!
Ready? One, two and three!
Photo bombed!
Tom & Jerry's being poured by the Elks Staff!
Mary, Mary, and Robin!
The guys all got the memo about wearing red.
A handsome group of men for sure! (Bill, Bob, and Paul)
We guys, on the other hand, were very quiet and reserved. I remember telling Bill, "Christmas is a baby shower that went totally overboard."
Bill responded, "The Supreme Court has ruled that they cannot have a nativity scene in Washington D.C. This wasn't for any religious reasons. They couldn't find three wise men and a virgin."
We were talking about growing up, and I mentioned that when I was a child, my family was so poor that at Christmas, we exchanged glances.
Dinner has arrived! Now, can it fit into the frigs?
Ah, Dr. Mary has a secret plan!
Then we decided to go to Aces for dinner, a massive failure; they closed at 4:00 PM, and we arrived at 4:15 PM. We then went to Rockwell's, and only the bar was open that would be fine for me, but the Duda's and Mary were hungry. So, we went to Yang Mings and had a wonderful dinner!
We had a delicious meal?
Paul was in rare form... Sober!
We are definitely in love!
Penny for his thoughts!
"Here's to you!"
Someone gots the giggles!
The giggle erupted into a full belly-laugh!
It looked painful!
Bob and Robin took off for home to have dinner with their son Nick and we made sure they had plenty of goodies. We got a call from the Reidy's, and they said they were coming over; we fed them Chinese dinner and swapped stories well into the wee hours. (Wee hours at our age is about 9:30 PM).
We exchanged gifts and Dianne went first.
What could it be?
We explained how it operates... It is called an Emoji!
Now comes the serious stuff; selecting candy for a big box!
Their eyes glaze over but their noses are twitching.
