Their name derives from the usual shape they take as the word 'truffle' derives from the Latin word tuber, meaning "swelling" or "lump", which later became tufer.

Did You Know? - Fifi was born and raised in Morraco (Kingdom of Morocco) while Ron hailed from Ohio, USA. Ron was with our USAF and stationed in Morraco the after his first trip to his commanders office he was in love with Fifi, the commanders administrator! They were married in Morraco and then the bog surprise.... She came to the USA... Ohio to be exact!

She told us that on the flight over, she was dressed to meet Ron and his family. She did however forget thet Morraco is desert and Ohio in winter is not desert. When she finally arrived after several flight delays (due to weather) it was -19 degrees! She has never seen snow... She now laughs and Ron giggles about the coming home.

She never knew was 4,078 miles could be so different!

Did You Know? - Peggy was so delightful sharing her experiences as a concert pianist. She and Dean have a great family. Dean we found out was a Porsche race car driver and has turned that interest into a family affair! He and he sons are members of a Porsche Racing Team spending many weekend together going to the races and capturing the gold! Dean laughed.... "My youngest son is the driver (Athan), my middle sone is the mechanic, and when anyone asked the boys what I do, the say.... He is the banker!"
