God gave us memories that we might have roses in December. ~J.M. Barrie

I was a lucky young man growing up! Raised by loving parents who provided me the lessons in life I continue to apply to this day. Now that I am sixty plus years old and most grey-matter still functioning, I can see my behavior (both positive and not-so-positive) in my upbringing.

So I decided to jot down what growing up was like hoping that someday when I am gone perhaps my grandchildren will read about their grandpa, greatgrandpa, and greatgreat grandparents.

This will be boring to most but perhaps it might ring a bell with those of my era and provoke a thought and perhaps a chuckle.

Things to think about:
  • The reason dogs have so many friends is because they wag their tails and not their tongues"
  • The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention"
