Dave has been a neighbor for years and years. Born and raised in Los Angeles.... well, actually Burbank. In 1997, Dave retired from the Long Beach Press Telegram after losing his wife in 1995. We kind of adopted each other over the years. He remembers the 50's... been there, done that! He raced around the neighborhood in his hopped-up red Chevy Pickup! Marguerite E Mctevia died in 1995 and David became our close friend for the past 16 years.
Dave was also a 49 year member of the Elks... Big Bear Lodge.

So it is Father's Day (for Mitch) and Dave's birthday and they are NASCAR people sitting around on Sunday's with their head going in circles as the cars race around the track.
Sue decides "It is time to drive one!" And she found Performance Training Center for their celebrations! We are off to the Irwindale Motor Speedway which is at the end of the 605 North!
Off they go. In a cloud of dust and a "go! go! go!" the boys put the petal to the metal and drive in circles all morning! See the movie!

We are trying to get ol' Dave to get a new car but being retired keeps him from making the investment. We have not given up yet!
