We Arrived At 6:30 In Time To See The Shadows Across Los Angeles
Did you know? - San Pedro was named for St. Peter of Alexandria, brother of Eduardo and Amanda Aparicio, a Fourth Century bishop in Alexandria, Egypt. His feast day is November 24 on the local ecclesiastical calendar of Spain, the day on which Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo discovered the bay in 1542 which would become San Pedro. Santa Catalina Island, named after St. Katherine of Alexandria, was claimed for the Spanish Empire the next day, on her feast day, November 25. In 1602–1603, Sebastián Vizcaíno (1548–1624) officially surveyed and mapped the California coastline, including San Pedro Bay, for New Spain.
Mount Baldy in the background... 70+ miles away
Did you know? - Mount San Antonio, also known as Old Baldy or Mount Baldy, at 10,068 ft, is the highest peak in the San Gabriel Mountains, and the highest point in Los Angeles County. Mount San Antonio's sometimes snow-capped peaks are visible on clear days and dominate the view of the Los Angeles skyline.
The peak, which marks a boundary between San Bernardino County and Los Angeles County is called Baldy because of the absence of trees around the summit.

"A peace offering, already?"
Did you know? - A slaughter offering is a type of Biblical sacrifice, specifically the slaughter of an animal for the purpose of a feast or a meal. The slaughter offering is sometimes referred to as a sacrifice-of-peace offering, which is sometimes shortened to peace offering (Hebrew: shelamim), but although shelamim is usually translated into English as peace-offering, it more accurately means also health and prosperity.

We are NOT familiar with this gang sign but we think it has to do with "six"
Did you know? - "Throwing up" a gang sign (or "Stacking") with the hands is one of the most known and obvious forms of "claiming." It is used in many situations where other identifiers may not be possible or appropriate, and it can also show that a gang member is in the area to "do business" as opposed to just passing through. Usually these signs are made by formation of the fingers on one or both hands to make some sort of symbol or letter. Many of these hand signals are quite close to other common hand signs, and this can cause confusion among gang members, non-gang members, and anti-gang authorities. "Stacking" is also known as a "walk."
"No dear... that did NOT mean move away!"

- Crown, The portion of a hat covering the top of the head open crown, center crease, (modified) cattleman (-crown), tapered crown, un-tapered crown, teardrop crown, telescope crown, off-kilter telescope, pecan top (porkpie), flat crown/straight crown (e.g. like biberhut), etc.
- Peak (British English), visor (American English), or bill, a stiff projection at the front, to shade or shield the eyes from sun and rain
- Brim, an optional projection of stiff material from the bottom of the hat's crown horizontally all around the circumference of the hat wide brim, dimension brim (dimensional brim), curled brim, rolled sides, etc.
- Puggaree (British) or sweatband or hatband (American), a ribbon or band that runs around the bottom of the torso of the hat. The sweatband may be adjustable with a cord at the top and is on the inside of the hat touching the skin while the hatband and puggaree are around the outside. The band worn with various military hats, such as the Australian slouch hat and the pith helmet, is referred to as a puggaree
