The Presidents Lounge
Reservations required next time
Robin wanted to have a drink in this famous lounge and we certainly did try! Even Bob and Sue got to have a drink (we are nice spices).
The Presidential Lounge originally served as a four room apartment for visitors to the Inn.
President Theodore Roosevelt was among eight US Presidents to visit the hotel, staying in the suite in 1903.
The suite later served as the setting for the wedding and honeymoon of Richard and Pat Nixon.
Today, portraits of each of the visiting Presidents adorn the walls of what is today the hotel’s premier cocktail lounge.
It was California weather... 77 degrees when we left home and it stayed in the 70's late into the evening. The place was crowded so we finally ate at an Italian restaurant in the hotel... We ate OUTSIDE and it was very enjoyable. Welcome to California!
