OK OK... the
truth! I got my first "leather jacket " in 1957... amazing...
it was Los Angeles in summertime.... 80-90 degrees every day
and I wore leather!
I wore that poor old jacket every day
for years.... until it just wore out!
Buying a new one
was... well.. exciting!
Mom said..."Makes
you look like a hood!" I didn't even know what a hood
was... except the thing that covers the car engine!
In High School I even had a style like the folks on Grease... hair hanging in the middle of my forehead and Brylcreme (... you know, "A little dab will do ya'") to the Nth degree... no wonder I am short of hair today!
